MEET ROSEMARY BROWN

Rosemary Brown brings to the State Senate a proven record of helping people and always being there for us.

Why? Because as a working mom and the daughter of older parents, she understands the challenges and concerns we all share – and makes addressing them her top priority as our voice in Harrisburg. Most importantly, she never plays politics or partisan games – focusing instead on finding common ground to reach common-sense solutions.

A resident of Monroe County for nearly 50 years, Rosemary is a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and the University of Scranton. After earning her degree, she entered the private sector in executive management positions, first in the retail industry, then in the sales sector of the pharmaceuticals industry.

In 2010, frustrated by the issues affecting the people of Monroe and Pike Counties, Rosemary ran for State Representative and was elected with confidence. Upon joining the House, Rosemary quickly became known as an effective legislator, well-versed in policy and unwilling to play political games.

In 2022 – encouraged by our neighbors throughout Monroe, Pike, Lackawanna and Wayne Counties – Rosemary ran for State Senate. Since then, she has continued to put issues and people first, fighting for fiscal discipline and policies that protect taxpayers, delivering for schools and local communities, supporting police and emergency responders, and making sure our voice is heard loud and clear on issues important to our area.

Rosemary is our independent voice – always taking the time to listen to our concerns, and her record proves it.  Her record includes issues vital to our communities and as varied as addressing concerns over Lyme Disease, passing new laws to help residents of Homeowners’ Associations, and working to protect our future from the threat of new data centers.

Rosemary also leads by example on the issue of reforming state government. She refuses taxpayer-funded per diems (that are unaccountable payments legislators receive simply for showing up to work in Harrisburg), as well as the legislative perks like a taxpayer-paid cell phone.

Rosemary has been married to her high school sweetheart, Joe, for more than 30 years. They have three children, all of whom attended school in East Stroudsburg and are now in higher education or out in the working world. The Brown family attends St. John’s Parish in East Stroudsburg, and Rosemary is well-known in the community as an active supporter of numerous civic organizations and has received numerous awards of recognition for her commitment to public service.
