Rosemary Brown has a proven record of putting politics aside to do what's right for the people of northeastern Pennsylvania. As our State Senator, she will continue to be an effective voice, working to make a difference on the issues we care about most.
Rosemary knows the best thing we can do to help our families is make sure they have the opportunity to secure good-paying jobs. As a State Representative, she has fought for policies to make that happen by supporting small businesses and entreprenuers, and make PA more competitive in the fight to attract job creators. In the Senate she will work to: cut our highest-in-the-nation corporate income tax, ensure a fair and predictable regulatory system, create an education system that prepares people with the skills employers need, and make the state a supporter of entreprenuers instead of a roadblock.
Rosemary believes the best way to help families is to make sure government is responsible and efficient with their money. As a State Representative, Rosemary stopped every one of Tom Wolf's tax increases, helped fix the state's unfair education funding formula to ensure our schools receive more money to help property taxpayers, and fought for real fiscal discipline that controls spending and debt. As a State Senator, she will continue her fight to help taxpayers by: working to pass a Taxpayers' Bill of Rights, end the per diems and special perks for politicians, limit the debt government can take on, and pushing for the property tax relief and elimination we deserve.
Rosemary's record on education is clear: she has been a strong supporter of students, parents, and schools. In the Senate she will continue to work to improve our education system through smart investment, innovation, accountability, and choice. She will also work to give parents a stronger voice and increase parental involvement in schools. Rosemary also knows that not everyone benefits from the same education which is why she supports traditional, home, technical, and vocational schooling options for students.
Rosemary knows we all want to feel safe in our homes and communities. That's why, as Representative, she stood against radicals who wanted to defund our police and with law enforcement - making sure they have the resources needed to do their jobs. She has also delivered important support and grants to local police, fire fighters and EMS companies. In the Senate, she will work with law enforcement and residents so they partner in fighting crime. Rosemary will also fight for policies that ensure real criminals are punished for the harm they do to our communities, and victims' rights are never ignored.
Rosemary is a lifelong resident of northeast PA and understands the special character of our community. In the State House, she fought to protect that character and make our communities the best they can be. As Senator, she will continue this effort by working for important grant funding to support needed infrastructure improvements, support environmental initiatives to protect our natural resources, and spend the time to meet with local officials, community and civic groups, and residents to hear their concerns and develop solutions.
No one should ever worry about the integrity of our elections. No one. That's why Rosemary has fought for commonsense initiatives to protect our election system - from ensuring an accurate and up-to-date voter registration system to Voter ID. In the Senate, she will continue working for commonsense reforms to meed a simple goal we can all agree on: fair and secure elections, every year.
